The United Kingdom Government has yielded to pressure and threats from UEFA and will allow 2,500 VIP guests to enter the semi-finals and the final of the European Championship on 11 July at Wembley without quarantine.

UEFA had threatened a change of venue if the exemptions were not achieved and for this reason, as revealed by the English newspaper The Times , the British ministers are already in talks to facilitate the entry of some 2,500 people without the need to carry out the mandatory quarantine of 10 days in the UK .

In this way, UEFA's threats to move the semifinal and final of the tournament to Budapest would be extinguished, where in addition to full capacity in the stadium, there are no entry requirements to the country.

The imposition of this ten-day quarantine already meant Wembley lost the Champions League final , which moved to Porto despite being disputed by two English teams.

For the European Championship , which hosts eight matches in London, UEFA , together with the English federation, provided a series of exemptions for workers, such as, for example, the media who attended the matches, which allows leaving the accommodation to attend meetings during the quarantine period.
