Fair play with GPS

0
futbol-transparente Soccer controversies about plays and penalties could have their days numbered thanks to the new CTRUS soccer ball, with built-in GPS. Designed by the Agent company, this transparent “smart ball” has an internal green or yellow illumination that changes to pink when it enters the goal or leaves the field of play. Inside it includes a combination of GPS and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) that informs you of your exact position at all times. Otherwise, CTRUS responds to kicks and bounces in the same way as conventional soccer balls.

As if this were not enough, the new ball provides interesting data for radio and television announcers, such as the force of the blow and the speed of the movement, which are sent in real time to a control tower.

Although FIFA has yet to decide whether to allow its use, those responsible for Agent predict that with this invention fair play will be guaranteed and controversial referee errors will be avoided.
