One of the games that caused the most impact in the last generation of consoles was ‘Fallout 3’. The title of Bethesda Softworks was a very pleasant surprise that did not leave anyone indifferent. However, some information has just come to light that has revealed that the game was about to become in a completely different way than we know it today.

The original creators of the saga, Black Isle Studios , were working on two versions of ‘Fallout 3’ that later were later canceled. One of them was to have the name of ‘ Fallout Van Buren ‘, with an isometric camera reminiscent of the first two installments of ‘Fallout’.

About the second one had not heard of until now, and that is that ‘Fallout 3’ is a game in the first person, but at first it was going to be in the third person thanks to a technology called NDL, according to Fergus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian Entertainment. The bad news is that the development team began to suffer a series of financial problems that forced them to stop the project in its tracks .

Even so, all the work was not thrown away, as it was used to bring ‘Icewind Dale’ a dungeon RPG to life . In addition, that same NDL technology was later acquired by the Gamebryo company and it was used to carry out the development of ‘Fallout 3’ as we know it today.
