Ferrari completes two days of testing at Fiorano on a wet track

The Ferrari team carried out two days of testing at Fiorano with its car from the 2022 Formula 1 season, the F1-75 , to test Pirelli ‘s wet tires for the upcoming season. The most successful team in history rolled on its home track, which was completely wet with the automatic irrigation system with which the facility is equipped, the only one along with Paul Ricard that has these advantages.

On Tuesday, it was Carlos Sainz ‘s turn on the track, who finished second in the Monaco Grand Prix. The Spaniard rode on extreme rain tyres, while on Wednesday, the red car had Monegasque Charles Leclerc in the cockpit, who ended up very angry in the Principality because of the strategy they carried out.

The rider from Madrid also suffered an untimely spin, although that did not pose any problem for the work program that the Pirelli technicians had prepared for the Maranello team, which, at least for now, is the one that has collaborated the most in the development of the compounds. The Italian team had already participated in the test session that the Milanese manufacturer had organized on the Imola track after the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

After the controversy that arose as a result of the publication of our images showing the use of a floor that, in fact, had already been used in the previous Australian Grand Prix in a free practice session, Pirelli did not publish anything and Nor did he post a single photo of the tests on his social networks, as they had always done.

Before the end of the day, Charles Leclerc had the privilege of driving a 1967 Ferrari 312 that was being restored by the brand’s classics department. The car took to the track after being completely set up, and the Monegasque had the opportunity to go for a lap, adding yet another experience to the history of the Cavallino .
