Stuttgart – Podcasts are becoming increasingly popular in Germany. The spectrum of content ranges from comedy and thrillers to science. The Ministry of Finance of Baden-Württemberg* is now also launching its own podcast “Cäshflow”. It should appear once a month and deal with the topics of money and politics.
Baden-Württemberg’s Finance Minister Danyal Bayaz (Greens) will talk to various guests about money issues and financial policy in “Cäshflow”. “Fiscal policy is exciting, fiscal policy shapes the future,” says Bayaz. “The topic is anything but boring and dry.”
Eckart von Hirschhausen is the first guest on Danyal Bayaz’s “Cäshflow” podcast
The first guest that Danyal Bayaz welcomes to the “Cäshflow” podcast is the physician and author Eckart von Hirschhausen. Among other things, Bayaz talks to him about the role economy and capital markets can play in climate protection, what constitutes sustainable investments and whether money can make people happy.
The podcast is unique in Germany because it is sent directly from the Ministry of Finance in the state capital of Stuttgart*. “That doesn’t exist yet,” says Bayaz at the beginning of the first episode. From now on, the “Cäshflow” podcast will appear once a month and, above all, get a younger audience interested in the topic. The name of the podcast is based on Baden-Württemberg’s current image campaign, “The Länd” (BW24* reported).

In addition to the science podcast by Christian Drosten or the comedy duo “Gemischtes Hack”, who recently blasphemed about the city of Karlsruhe in their podcast* and thus annoyed the citizens, “Cäshflow” is now also involved in the scene. It remains to be seen whether the podcast on money and politics will be accepted. The second episode will appear in February.
