Grainau – A 33-year-old woman from Lichtenfels in Upper Franconia was killed in the tidal wave at the Höllentalklamm at the foot of the Zugspitze.
It must be assumed that the person who is still missing is her 34-year-old partner from the Coburg district, said the Upper Bavaria South Police Headquarters on Thursday.
Last Monday, after heavy rain, masses of water rushed through the Höllentalklamm and the valley above. The identity of the woman who was rescued from the floods on Tuesday was confirmed by forensic and forensic examinations, it was now said. The search for the missing person was no longer resumed on Thursday. However, a new search in the area near Grainau in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district is planned for next Monday.
