Four riders risk the three bikes without an owner on the MotoGP grid

0

With just over two weeks to go until the World Championship restarts at Silverstone (August 7), everything seems ready for the configuration of the MotoGP grid for next season to close imminently.

Of the 22 prototypes that will run next year -Suzuki abandons the championship-, there are eight that have not yet been assigned, even though four of them are sung or do not have any influence on the rest of the operations, which are much more open.

Joan Mir is finalizing his arrival at the official Honda team, as Marc Márquez’s partner. Jorge Martín and Enea Bastianini will fight for promotion to the Ducati factory team until the end of August, but whoever loses this duel has a guaranteed place in Pramac. And the good results achieved by Fabio Di Giannantonio before the break mean that his renewal by Gresini can be almost taken for granted.

Andrea Dovizioso has already made it clear that he has no intention of continuing to race, so there are four candidates to take over the three bikes that still do not bear the name of any rider. And among Miguel Oliveira, Raúl Fernández, Remy Gardner and Darryn Binder, the one who has it better is the Portuguese, who is even in a position to choose if he wants to continue riding a KTM in this case of Tech3 and as Pol Espargaró’s neighbor –even it is not official but it will be–; or sign for RNF, Aprilia’s satellite structure.

Other movements will depend on what Oliveira does, which will influence the future of the current couple of Tech3 (Fernández and Gardner) and Darryn Binder, whose main asset is the bag of money that accompanies him.

In the case of Fernández and Gardner , their main problem is their current brand, that you are not making it easy for them to be able to change things. KTM shields its operations with contracts that, to simplify, turn its riders into pawns at the mercy of what the Austrian manufacturer decides to do with them.

The other manufacturers are aware of the situation, but in no case would they enter into a conflict with the house of the orange motorcycles, one of the most influential in the paddock given its many ramifications.
