November 23, 2009. The sea in the Strait of Magellan is calm. At 11 pm we will enter the east coast of Tierra del Fuego , a horn that leans east like the toe of a boot, just above the mythical Cape Horn. I saw my first penguin . A lonely Magellan swimming in a hurry, as if he had an important appointment to keep. Also a skúa and some minor members of the numerous albatross family, the most majestic bird in the world, which I hope to be able to detail better in the coming days.
