The new Mandalika circuit, located on the island of Lombok , in eastern Indonesia, joins the MotoGP World Championship calendar this season, and will host the second race of the course, on March 20. Before that coming-out, the circuit hosts this weekend the second official pre-season tests, to fine-tune the bikes and verify that everything is correct in the new facility.

The alarms went off in the first hours of the test, when the amount of mud accumulated on the asphalt forced to stop the rehearsals and clean the track, but once the problem was solved, the times began to drop and ride normally, Jorge Martín managing to get off the clock at 1.33.3 a little over three hours from the end of the first test day.

The Spaniard from Pramac held the lead on the timesheets with just two hours remaining in the session.

As you can see in the images, despite the fact that several teams have presented their bikes with the definitive decoration between the Sepang tests at the beginning of the month and these, we continue to see black “camouflage” designs, such as the Repsol Honda, the Aprilia or the Honda of the LCR, probably due to lack of time to put the vinyls.

And despite the fact that it was an official test that was not open to the public, some curious local fan looked for a way to see some part of the track from outside.
