A new park is being built on the Eifelwall in Cologne – it is part of the large-scale Parkstadt Süd project.

Cologne – The Rhine metropolis Cologne * already has a comparatively large amount of green in the city center – but it is set to grow even more. The popular districts of Neustadt-Süd and Sülz are getting a new park, 3 hectares in size. The "Park am Eifelwall" is bounded in the north by the Eifelwall, in the south by Hans-Carl-Nipperdey-Strasse, in the west by Luxemburger Strasse and in the east by the railway line on the Eifelwall. The green space is the first component of the Parkstadt Süd Köln * mega-project, which, in addition to living space for around 7,700 people and around 4,300 new jobs, is also intended to create more recreational areas and nature.

The green area is intended to extend the inner green belt, which currently runs from the banks of the Rhine in Cologne-Riehl to Luxemburger Strasse. (mah) * 24RHEIN is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
