The Grimme Institute announces the winners of the renowned television award. Among them is Mai-Thi Nguyen-Kim.
Marl – Great honor for Mai Thi Nguyen-Kim. The science journalist and television presenter receives the Grimme Prize this year. The 33-year-old chemist was awarded the prize for the special journalistic achievement by the Grimme Institute in Marl for the “scientifically highly competent and broadly effective” communication of information on the subject of Corona. At the upcoming award ceremony in August, Nguyen-Kim will be honored for her YouTube format “maiLab” as well as for her moderation of “Quarks – Corona in 5 minutes”.

For the 57th time, the Grimme Institute honors outstanding television achievements. The Grimme Prize recognizes television programs that are exemplary and exemplary in terms of programming practice – contributions that have been published in media libraries, streaming services or video platforms are also permitted.
