After it became known that Queen Elizabeth II was in critical health, grandson Harry also made his way to the Queen at Balmoral Castle – but he was too late.

Balmoral – The news shocked the whole world on Thursday: Queen Elizabeth II is dead. She passed away peacefully at her country estate in Balmoral, Scotland, at the age of 96.

Doctors had previously expressed serious concerns about her health, prompting the entire family to go to their head of family, including Prince Harry.

Prince Harry traveled to Queen Elizabeth II separately from the rest of the Royal Family.

As luck would have it, the Queen’s grandson Harry, who had left the Royal Family, was in England instead of in his new home in America, as reported by Merkur.de. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle landed in London last Saturday (September 3) to support some heart projects in Great Britain and Germany for several days.

With Queen Elizabeth’s health deteriorating rapidly, the couple canceled their upcoming WellChild Awards ceremony and Harry traveled to Balmoral. Meghan stayed in London, presumably to take care of the children like Kate.

Prince Harry is late: No farewell to grandmother Queen Elizabeth II

Simultaneously, Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex made their way and landed together at Aberdeen Airport in Scotland. After an hour’s drive they reached the Queen’s country residence, where heir to the throne Charles, his wife Camilla and the Queen’s daughter Princess Anne were already waiting. When the news of the death was published, Prince Harry, who was traveling separately, had apparently not yet reached the property.

Meanwhile, the British media DailyMail and Mirror publish pictures of Prince Harry later driving to Balmoral. Dressed in a suit and tie, he sat in the back seat of a car with his face in his hands to protect himself from photographers. Sadly, Prince Harry was unable to say goodbye to his grandmother while he was still alive. After so much rowing between the royal family and his and allegations the Queen had to endure – what would his last words have been?
