The “longest permanently illuminated building with color change” is the 400 meter long Edersee barrier wall near Waldeck in Hesse. On behalf of the municipality of Edertal, a team consisting of climbers and fitters installed LED spotlights in the 39 overflows of the barrier wall. On July 12, 2014, the lighting system was inaugurated in a big celebration to mark “100 years of the Edertalsperre”.

On May 31, 2015, a good 5,000 people from Giessen came together on a large meadow on the Lahn to picnic together – for a world record. For the second time it was about the “longest uninterrupted picnic blanket route”. Although it was successful last year with 1,647 meters, it was only possible to achieve a new German record with this length. But in the second attempt, Gießen secured the world record of 2,433.60 meters, which had been held in Canada since July 2012.

So many children have never participated in a soccer school: At the anniversary summer camp of the FFH soccer school, which FSV Frankfurt organized together with HIT RADIO FFH from July 10th to 14th 2017 in the stadium on Bornheimer Hang in Frankfurt (D), a daily average of 510 children from all over Hesse took part. So far, FC Barcelona held the world record for participants with 435 children in the category “largest multi-day football course at one venue”. But that is now history – the world record is now in Hesse, as officially confirmed and certified by record judge Olaf Kuchenbecker in Frankfurt.

At the Fulda Cup 2019, 1603 shooters achieved the Germany record for the “most consecutive football penalties”.
