In recent years, many actresses, models and celebrities who are mothers have expressed their support for breastfeeding in public through posts on their social networks, in which they are shown breastfeeding their babies or expressing milk.

A few weeks ago we shared the shocking photograph of actress Rachel McAdams, dressed in Versace while expressing milk during a photoshoot. Now, the also actress and mother Hilary Duff, has decided to make her own version of the photo that went viral, giving it a more “real” touch .

Through a publication on her Instagram account, the actress was inspired by the photograph of Rachel McAdams, and she gives us her own version, in which she also appears sitting with a breast pump, but without haute couture clothes or diamonds .

In her photograph, which she has published alongside Rachel’s original, Hilary is wearing a simple button-down blouse and as an accessory, she has placed a bathing cap on her head, adding the question: “Am I doing is this okay? “ .

Am I doing this right

Hilary Duff’s photography does not seek to criticize the original by Rachel McAdams, but simply to give it a twist with which more mothers will be able to identify and like Rachel, continue to promote breastfeeding so that it looks like what it is: a normal act and natural .

Unlike Rachel, who has shared only a little of her experience as a mother, Hilary has been more open in this regard and constantly shares small fragments of her day to day with her two-month-old baby on her Instagram account .

And although the photographs have very different interpretations, the important thing about both is the message they send: supporting breastfeeding by helping to normalize it in the media and showing us that they are mothers too, perhaps with jobs that are very different from those of the majority, but Ultimately they go through experiences similar to us.
