Compared to many European or American cities, Hong Kong restaurants open quite late. Long work hours and even longer shopping hours mean neighborhood restaurants will often open until 11 p.m., many even later.
Below us, our pick of the best places in Hong Kong for a late night bite. There is a mix of fast food to go and more sober restaurants that are a recommended visit regardless of the time of day. Whether it’s an emergency kebab or 24-hour ramen delivery, you’ll find something for yourself below.

If your need for food late at night is not driven by alcohol and you are looking for a good meal, come to Ichiran. The only overseas branch of this constantly packed Japanese chain, Ichiran serves the best ramen noodle dish in Hong Kong, and that’s a claim. Like the ramen cantina restaurants it was inspired by, Ichiran stays true to its 1960s roots with self-serve orders and individual seating. The constant tail for the snake outside the door shouldn’t put you off (turning around is quick) and is a testament to the quality of the ramen. Highly recommended and open twenty-four hours. There is no delivery option.

Sometimes it has to be a kebab, especially if you just dropped out of a pub. Ebeneezer’s has been serving lamb and chicken kabobs to drunk people in Hong Kong for twenty years. With several chains around the city, including Wan Chai and Lan Kwai Fong, it is the most popular kebab stop in the city. Although that doesn’t say much. Kebabs will remind you that Hong Kong is a long way from Turkey or Greece, and can only really be recommended if you’ve had a few pints. Ebeneezer also serves pizza slices and other foods you wish you hadn’t eaten in the morning. Food is for take away only. Branches are open late with Wan Chai, Lan Kwai Fong and TST stores open until 6 AM. They also deliver.

A Hong Kong classic. The novelty-sized menu at Tsui Wah is a waltz through Hong Kong comfort food, and alongside the usual dishes of pork-based noodles and rice and broth, you’ll find Hong Kong classics and western purees such as toasted sandwiches with peanut butter or chive chicken pasta The food isn’t gourmet, but it’s good and the prices are some of the lowest you’ll find in Central. As with many Hong Kong neighborhood restaurants, the service is functional at best at worst abrupt, although the interiors with their cushioned seats and mirrored walls are a bit above the usual Hong Kong canteen. Kong. There are Tsui Wah branches throughout Hong Kong: both the Canon Street branch and the Jaffe Road branch in Causeway Bay and the Wellington Street branch in Central are 24 hours.
