Horst Lichter’s autobiography has been filmed. A short appearance was definitely considered, but the cook and moderator decided not to. That also has to do with the main actor.
Cologne – The cook and presenter Horst Lichter (“Bares for Rares”) did not want to take on a role in the autobiographical film “Horst Lichter – No Time for Assholes” himself.
“Friends, whom I told about it at the beginning, always asked: Oh, do you play yourself? But then I said: Under no circumstances, ”reported 59-year-old Lichter, who will be 60 on January 15th, to the German Press Agency. The actor Oliver Stokowski (59) can be seen as Horst Lichter in the film. The ZDF shows him on Sunday (9.1., 8.15 p.m.).
The TV film is based on Lichter’s book “No Time for Assholes!”, In which he describes how his mother’s serious illness in 2014 gave his life a new direction.
“I’m incredibly happy with Oliver now,” said Lichter about the cast. He got to know him before filming started. “I have seldom seen someone who can empathize with someone like that. He really became my second self without wanting to copy me, ”said Lichter.
“That’s one of the reasons why I didn’t even want to appear briefly in the film, even though it was planned.” He said: Oliver is Horst – from start to finish. dpa
