Bluetooth speakers have become one more gadget in many homes, mainly due to the fact that they can be easily connected to a wide variety of devices (including smartphones, tablets, iPods or computers), in a simple way and what is even better: without cables.
They are available in all sizes, colors, and shapes, including battery-replaceable and 100-percent rechargeable models, as well as wall-mountable and wall-mountable units. Also, as long as there are no signal-related problems or losses, they can provide excellent audio quality.
These types of speakers work by receiving digital audio transmissions from the device to which they are connected, which are usually compressed. Subsequently, it is decompressed, decoded and expanded through the speakers.
Installing and connecting our Bluetooth speakers in Windows 10
The truth is that both in Windows and in macOS the installation and connection process of the Bluetooth speakers is characterized precisely by being quite simple. Not surprisingly, in most cases it is only required to activate Bluetooth connectivity and have the speaker turned on.
In Windows 10 , we must first make sure that Bluetooth connectivity is activated, in order to be able to pair the speaker. To do this, in the Activity Center , we select Bluetooth to activate it. It is also possible to do it through Start , Settings , Devices , click on Bluetooth and other devices and, finally, activate Bluetooth.
The pairing process is truly simple. We just have to turn on the speakers and / or activate the device in question, until it can be detected.
On the computer, we go to Start , Settings , Devices , Bluetooth and other devices , click on Add Bluetooth or another device and select Bluetooth . Now, we must wait a few seconds until the speaker we want to connect is shown.
Finally, we choose the device and follow the instructions that appear. Then, click on Done . From now on, normally the Bluetooth speaker and the PC will connect automatically whenever both are within range.
Installing and connecting our Bluetooth speakers on Mac
We must make sure that the speaker is turned on and in visible mode . Then, on the Mac, we select the Apple start menu, go to System Preferences and click on Bluetooth .
Now, we simply select the device from the list and, when we find it, we select it and click on Connect . In case the system asks for it, we enter a series of numbers and press Enter, or we click directly on Accept.
As with Windows, you only need to connect your Mac to the speaker once. Although sometimes it is necessary to select it again to connect it by choosing it from the Bluetooth icon that you will find in the top bar.
