Start or transfer service
The easiest way to get new service is to go to the NV Energy website where you can start, stop, or transfer service. You can also call NV Energy to make any of these changes. NV Energy generally requires a deposit that is 150 percent of the previous year’s highest monthly bill at that address. This deposit can be waived with a letter of good credit from another power company. Your old electric company can provide you with that letter, or you can simply have that company call NV Energy.
After a year of good credit, this deposit is usually returned to you, but you will need to request it.
