The hurricane swept through Mexico with wind speeds of almost 200 kilometers per hour. After the hurricane, there are now more dangers – also in the holiday resorts.

Manzanillo – Hurricane Roslyn has reached Mexico. The center of the category 3 hurricane made landfall near the town of Santa Cruz in the state of Nayarit on the Pacific coast, the Mexican weather service announced on Sunday. The hurricane moved northeast with wind speeds of 195 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 240 kilometers per hour.

A hurricane warning has been issued for the resorts between Playa Perula and Escuinapa and the Islas Marias. The weather service warned of heavy rain, flooding and landslides. Civil protection called on the population to avoid the beaches. Tropical cyclone season begins May 15 in the Pacific and June 1 in the Atlantic. It ends in both regions on November 30th. dpa
