Iconic British metal band Iron Maiden are currently embarking on the second leg of their Legacy of the Beast world tour, which was postponed in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the last weeks, the band has made their fans enjoy with several of the concerts of this final part of 2022, of a tour that passes through Latin America.

Last Wednesday Iron Maiden gave a concert in Mexico City , more specifically in the Foro Sol section of the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome, where the F1 Mexican GP is held.

To celebrate the event, the band has released a limited-time tour t-shirt with a Formula 1-inspired theme.

F1 cars driven by various incarnations of the band’s famous and infernal mascot, Eddie the Head , can be seen on the t-shirt, with Sergio Pérez appearing as the driver of the second car in the image.

It is not the first time that Iron Maiden and motorsports coincide.

The band’s Trooper beer brand has long been a sponsor of nine-time Isle of Man TT winner Peter Hickman .

That partnership began in 2015, and the Trooper beer brand has continued to sponsor Hickman in the Supersport class of the TT ever since.

As a result of that, Hickman has appeared on the t-shirts for Iron Maiden’s Book of Souls world tour in 2017 and on the UK leg of the Legacy of the Beast tour in 2018.

Touring car crack Anthony Reid also raced a car backed by Trooper Beer in Britain’s VW Funcup several years ago.

Iron Maiden has played several times on the Hermanos Rodríguez circuit in their concerts in Mexico, but also on other circuits over the years.

Most recently, in 2014, they headlined the Rock am Ring festival, held at the German Nurburgring, and in 2008, during their Somewhere Back In Time world tour, they put on a show in Assen, the traditional MotoGP venue in the Netherlands.

On that occasion he also commemorated it with a special Superbike-themed t-shirt. In the ’90s, the band spearheaded the musical activity at the Bol d’Or motorcycle endurance race in Paul Ricard.

The band’s guitarist, Adrian Smith , is also a huge F1 fan, having visited several Grands Prix as a guest of Renault in the past.
