Berlin – The fourth Corona * wave has stagnated for weeks, again the Robert Koch Institute reports figures that have leveled off at the level of the past few days. While the number of new infections and the incidence should not be a cause for concern at the moment, the RKI reports both a slight increase in the number of deaths and a slight increase in the incidence of hospitalization.

As the RKI reported in its latest report on Wednesday morning, the current seven-day incidence is at the level of the previous days. The RKI gives the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Wednesday as 65.4, the day before it was 65.8. In the week before, the institute had given the value as 62.3. According to official information, around 11,903 people have tested positive for the coronavirus * in the past 24 hours. A week ago, this value was 11,547 infections.
While the incidence and the number of new infections did not show any significant fluctuations, 92 deaths related to the coronavirus were registered in the past 24 hours. Exactly a week ago, the figure was 76 deaths. And the hospitalization incidence, i.e. the value that indicates the number of corona patients admitted to clinics per week and per 100,000 inhabitants, rose slightly on Wednesday.
