Jack Miller leads the second MotoGP test in Misano

Although during the second free practice it did not rain at all, the downpour that fell during the previous night and throughout most of the morning soaked the asphalt and prevented the sun from drying it.

These circumstances made Miller crazy, who took almost a second from Johann Zarco (second) and Aleix Espargaró, the third. The fourth fastest lap went to Iker Lecuona, who finished ahead of Miguel Oliveira (fifth) and Luca Marini (sixth), another surprise of the day.

Lorenzo Savadori, another of the specialists in the rain, slipped into seventh position and was half a tenth ahead of Pecco Bagnaia (eighth). Danilo Petrucci finished ninth and Jorge Martín closed a top ten from which several of the illustrious names of the category were left out.

The weather forecast for this Saturday predicts rain, so it is very likely that all of them will be in the first qualifying round (Q1).

Among them Joan Mir, the current champion (11th), as well as Marc Márquez (14th) and Fabio Quartararo, the leader of the World Championship, who could not get past 16th place, and finished 1.8 seconds behind the fastest.

Maverick Viñales finished 21st, while Valentino Rossi, his former teammate at Yamaha, did so just behind him (22nd).
