The Australian, who just finished the test that took place in Jerez in November, took a flight to return to his country, has been training in Townsville , where his family owns a farm.

This Friday morning -Australian time-, Jack Miller posted a video on his Instagram profile in which he reported that he had contracted COVID-19, and that this would make it impossible for him to attend the promotion event for the new course that Ducati had scheduled for just a week from now, on Friday, January 28.

Even so, there may be a possibility that Ducati postpones the presentation of the Desmosedici to 2022 due to this event.

“Unfortunately, as you can see, I am still at home in Australia after testing positive for coronavirus. This means that I am not allowed to travel, a circumstance that will cause me to miss the presentation of the team. Apart from that, I feel fine I don’t have any symptoms and I continue with my preparation here, on the farm,” said Miller, who, in any case, should have enough time to leave the virus behind, before embarking on pre-season tests, which will start on the 5th of February in Sepang.

In order to have free access to these trainings, the Malaysian government requires a negative test of no more than 72 hours before boarding the flight that will take you to the Asian country. Likewise, all members of the MotoGP paddock who are going to travel to Sepang must undergo a PCR test upon landing at Kuala Lumpur airport, and remain locked in their hotel room until they obtain the results of said test, which should not be delayed. beyond six hours.

Once this procedure has been completed, all the members of the MotoGP caravan must be installed in one of the two authorized hotels, and maintain a strict bubble regime: only journeys between the track and the hotel will be allowed, and vice versa, and no one will be able to get out of there.

After the first two days of testing (February 5 and 6), most of the teams will embark for Indonesia on chartered flights with the help of Dorna .
