Who will be the next James Bond? The list of potential Craig successors has grown long over time. But the Bond producers are in no hurry.

(AP) London – The producer duo of the James Bond films does not want to start looking for a successor to lead actor Daniel Craig for the time being. “There is currently no search. We’re really not looking for anyone at the moment, ”said producer Barbara Broccoli to the online film magazine“ HeyUGuys ”. “We want to take the time to celebrate Daniel Craig, his tenure, the 15 years, the five films. We want to give it its moment. That’s why we don’t plan to start looking for the next Bond anytime soon. “

The 25th James Bond film “No Time To Die” (original title: “No Time To Die”) will celebrate its world premiere on Tuesday in London and will hit German cinemas on Thursday (September 30). It’s the last film for 53-year-old Craig. The Briton had taken on the role of Pierce Brosnan and played the famous secret agent in five films since “Casino Royale” (2006).

In view of the increasing and sometimes wild speculation about possible Craig successors, Broccoli co-producer Michael G. Wilson had recently made it clear that a decision on a new actor would not be made until 2022 at the earliest. According to Broccoli and Wilson, one thing is already clear: James Bond will remain a man in the future.
