Jeep 80th Anniversary: ode to adventure and 4×4

0

Surpassing another decade is a historic milestone for automotive firms such as Jeep, far from the most banal and obvious stereotypes on the market. The love for adventure and 4x4s have kept their essence afloat after much evolution and the occasional resignation. The off-road philosophy is still present among Italians, despite the constant obstacles exerted by anti-pollution regulations and the public’s special fixation on SUVs. There have been many changes since 1941 and, eighty years later, Jeep can celebrate its anniversary by being faithful to its conception of the automotive sector as a symbol of strength, authenticity and freedom. On the occasion of such an important date, the firm launches the special 80th Anniversary edition , available in Spain for the Renegade, Compass and Wrangler models .

Before continuing to talk about the 80th Anniversary, it is time to do so about the current situation of Jeep. This firm belongs to the FCA Group and, therefore, to the new Stellantis conglomerate , formed by the merger with the French PSA (Citroën, Peugeot, Opel and DS). This European car giant has a total of 15 brands divided into seven different groups, making it the fourth global automaker. The name comes from the Latin verb Stello and comes to be a tribute to the past of most of the firms, but with an eye to the future of the stars and space.

Back at the leading firm in 2021, the Willys BM was the first 4×4 model produced in series and the one that marked the way forward for Jeep in 1941. The love of going where no one goes has led them to overcome various crises and cope the evolution of a market that, once again, is at a turning point. Hence the emergence of the plug-in hybrid 4xe models for the Renegade and Compass , pending the addition of the iconic Wrangler to the zero badge family . Efficiency is not incompatible with tradition and there could be no better tribute than a special edition to mark the 80th anniversary of the firm. Next we will talk about the Jeep 80th Anniversary.
