As the British newspaper reports, the heir to the throne of Bakr (76) and Shafiq bin Laden is said to have accepted a donation of one million pounds (almost 1.2 million euros). Bakr and Shafiq are the half-brothers of former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden (54, † 2011), who planned the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States.
In October 2013, Bakr bin Laden reportedly met Prince Charles at Clarence House in London. According to the Times, the donation went to the 73-year-old’s charity, the Prince of Wales Charitable Fund (PWCF).
