Last Minute: AT&T increases its 5G coverage in five entities in the country

AT&T Mexico increased its 5G coverage in the country. Morelia, Saltillo, Torreón, Hermosillo and Culiacán are the new entities where the fifth generation of networks is already available to total eight states of the republic with this technology, according to Nicole Rodríguez, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of AT&T Mexico.

Through a statement, the company explained that AT&T’s goal is to continue with the deployment of 5G to reach 25 cities in the country by the end of this year. In May, the company had coverage only in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. Now, after adding five new cities, it already covers eight entities.

“At AT&T Mexico we are committed to connecting more and more people so that they can take advantage of the benefits offered by the internet in this digital age,” says the director.

Currently, the telecommunications operator of American origin offers its new network through postpaid plans at an initial cost of 489 pesos.

Along with the development of the fifth generation in networks, Mónica Aspe, CEO of the company, assures that the company continues to consolidate itself in the country now being “the most important wholesale network provider in the country, an achievement that we have achieved after having completed the migration of 100% of Telefónica’s traffic to our network in a project that marked a before and after in the history of AT&T Mexico”.

In the second quarter of this year, the company’s operating cash flow tripled, reporting 87 million dollars, compared to 21 million dollars registered during the same period last year.

In terms of users, the company already has 20.7 million users compared to the 19 million registered in the same period last year, which implies a growth of 8.7%, which has helped the company obtain greater positive results. to your operation.

The telecommunications operator’s sales in the second quarter totaled 808 million dollars, an increase of 17.4 percent.
