This afternoon's 7.7-magnitude earthquake affected 1.3 million electricity users, according to the latest report published by the state-owned CFE. Power service has already been 95% restored, according to a press release issued this afternoon by the company.

Users with some impact are located in five states and are mainly concentrated in Mexico City with just over 572,000 affected customers; followed by the State of Mexico, Michoacán, Colima and Jalisco, respectively.

Affected customers represent about 9% of the 14.6 million total users in the five states.

The state company reported in the statement that it is patrolling the electrical infrastructure to identify damage and places of risk. "The CFE remains in close coordination with the National Civil Protection System and will continue with the activities to restore affected users," the company said in a statement this afternoon.

The company reported the generation of the Manzanillo complex, but without any major damage.
