Last Minute: The Interjet union points out an illegal attempt to break the strike

The Interjet union accuses that the administration of the airline has approached some workers with the proposal to accept new positions in the company with compensation of 20% of what is owed to them, or up to 30% if they decide not to return, but they agree to sign so that the strike, which broke out in January 2021, is lifted.

According to information from Section 15, which represents around 5,000 airline workers, people who claim to be from a new Interjet union – and who claim to be with the Del Valle family, which owns the company – are making offers to that the workers lift the work stoppage.

“A few days ago I received a telephone call from people who claim to be from a new union that is with the Del Valles, asking me if I would agree to the strike being lifted, that for that to happen the new union, on orders from the Del Valles, would be offering 1,000 jobs for workers who accept 20% of the total amount owed to us”, says a testimony of one of the workers shared with Expansión .

According to the source, the proposal will be made public tomorrow, Tuesday, and would be based on the delivery of a check or cash during the signing of the agreement.
