If you are a legal person, and you need to renew your e. Signature, you can do so without having to personally go to a module, as long as it does not expire more than one year.

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) reported that in order to provide the necessary tools for legal entities to continue with the timely fulfillment of their tax obligations, as of June 1, 2021, they may continue to renew the e. Signature from the SAT portal.

The route to renew the e.firma from the sat.gob.mx site is: section Companies / Other procedures and services / Request for renewal of the expired e.firma Certificate for legal entities.

To renew the e.firma you will need: to have the files of the e.firma that lost its validity; private key (.key file); certificate (.cer file), and have the password of the private key of the e.firma that has lost its validity.

To have this facility it is necessary that the term of the e. Signature does not exceed one year from the date of application. Maintain the or the same legal representative.

The legal representative must have his or her active signature, and must sign the request for renewal of the legal entity. Download the Certifica application and select the option Request for the Renewal of Legal Person with Legal Representative.

Once the renewal file has been generated, with the e. Signature expires, enter the SAT portal, send the renewal file in the Certificate Renewal section. Save the operation number, acknowledge it and retrieve your new certificate in the Certificate Tracking / Recovery section, detailed the tax authority.
