LEGO games based on famous film sagas (‘Star Wars’, ‘Indiana Jones’, ‘Batman’, ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’), despite repeating the formula adaptation after adaptation, are always received with a smile. Seeing the amount of material that swarms the network relating the famous toys and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ (from stop motion videos to meticulous dioramas), it is not surprising that the alliance is set as the next playable chapter in this talkative franchise.
It will be in the summer of 2012 when it hits the stores, what we do not know is if it will be a disc with the trilogy, if there will be a game for each film (because that is the base and not the books) or it will start with ‘The Hobbit ‘ , the new film project that is about to premiere. The truth is that it will be a pleasure to see the usual comedic approach to games applied to this tense and dramatic story.
Once this idyll is over, it’s time to think about the next stop. What famous saga would you choose? I bet on ‘The Matrix’, whose affected and convoluted plot I think is excellent for parody.
