Little boy controls father's car in the middle of a gas station shop

A boy of elementary school age started his father's car at a gas station in Bochum and steered it through a glass facade into the sales room.

Bochum – The father had filled up the tank and left his son alone in the car to pay in the gas station shop, as a police spokesman described. "However he did it, the son started the car, which then completely breached the facade." The vehicle came to a stop in the middle of the sales area. The boy – his exact age was not known to the police at first – was uninjured, as was the father. The cashier had to be treated on an outpatient basis because of a shock.

Shortly after the incident on Monday, it was still unclear whether the boy started the car with the key or whether it started using a radio receiver without a key. The boy may also have damaged a gas pump, said the spokesman. The property damage is significant. dpa
