Opened in November 2011, Magdalena Grand Beach Resort is the first new resort on the island of Tobago in over a decade, offering 18 holes of on-site golf, extensive meeting facilities, a palm-lined beach and five restaurants. Every room has an ocean view. The property is located on 20 acres of the 750 acre Tobago Plantations farm. Situated along two and a half miles of coastline, the grounds offer nature trails and canopy walks through virgin mangrove forest.

Magdalena Grand features an oceanfront freeform pool surrounded by cabana beds, two satellite pools, a dive center with a lap pool, a fitness center, bike rentals, two lighted tennis courts, jogging trails, a club child and on-site tour operators.
The Tobago Plantations Golf and Country Club plantation course was designed by architects Bob Hunt and Marcus Blackburn of PGA Golf Management Ltd. to reflect Tobago’s lush Caribbean atmosphere and utilize indigenous plants. There are sunken bunkers on the green sides, as on the third hole, and a picturesque Par 4 leading out onto a peninsula overlooking Scarborough, Tobago’s capital city, and the Atlantic Ocean. The course is a certified member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System, and also features a driving range, pitch and putt greens, and a pro shop.
