For most of her life, a woman is raped and controlled by her father. She even had a child from him. The 75-year-old believes he is innocent.
Munich – For decades, a man has repeatedly raped his own daughter – a martyrdom for which the Munich I District Court has now sentenced him to 10 years and 6 months in prison.
The court charged the 75-year-old with rape in 271 cases, and in one of the cases with bodily harm. The public prosecutor had previously demanded 12 years in prison. The verdict is not yet legally binding.
“I never raped her,” the man had denied the allegations at the beginning of the trial about a week ago. Everything was voluntary. In the case of a person under the age of 14, the question of alleged consensual relations is never a legal issue. Sexual acts on a person under the age of 14 are illegal in Germany.
“You ruined your daughter’s life,” the man said in the verdict. The assaults began when the daughter was seven years old. She even had a child from her father in the 1990s. The woman is now in her mid-50s, according to prosecutors.
In addition, the man had controlled the girl almost completely in all areas of her life and had systematically isolated her from her environment since she was a child. The court spoke of invisible bars that he erected around her: “It was a narrow, cold and ugly cage in which they kept their daughter”. The public prosecutor’s office had also spoken at the beginning of a “climate of violence and hopelessness that had been maintained for decades”. The woman’s family eventually called the police. dpa
