Since he left the Mugello paddock after the Italian Grand Prix , on May 29, to travel to Rochester and undergo a fourth surgery on his right arm, Marc Márquez had not set foot in the Repsol Honda team box. Twelve weeks later, this afternoon at Spielberg, the Spanish rider was able to visit his team in the garage, speak with the Honda bosses and, above all, get a smile back with the members of his side of the garage, his true hard core in the careers.
Márquez uploaded a post to his social networks on Thursday in which he is seen talking to Tetsuhiro Kuwata , director of Honda HRC, to whom he shows the huge scar on his right arm. It also shows the runner images with some of the members of his team, with whom he jokes and recovers his widest smile.
This afternoon, Márquez plans to offer a press conference at the Honda team hospitality located in the Red Bull Ring paddock, in which he is expected to give some indications of how the recovery is developing and his future plans. However, until the end of the month, when he passes a new and decisive medical review, it is difficult for Márquez to make public a hypothetical date of reappearance.
