Cologne – In a few weeks the time has come and the opening of the Cologne Carnival session will be celebrated in Cologne. But the anticipation of Cologne’s Mayor Henriette Reker is clouded. “Every year I am happy that no one is seriously injured or even dies. That’s my reality, I’m always very excited that day,” Reker said in an interview.

“Let’s not fool ourselves: November 11th will be beautiful. not this year either,” Reker continued. Because although new security concepts are currently being developed, Cologne’s mayor is expecting chaos and crowds of visitors again this year. (jw)
