Mazda i-Activsense, maximum safety as standard

Working to achieve a high level of safety in the automotive sector means saving lives . And it is that the industry invests many millions each year to make cars increasingly safer, in what are commonly called active safety systems. Specifically, it means that thanks to these systems an accident can be avoided.

In fact, this 2022, from the month of July, it will already be mandatory for many vehicles to incorporate a series of driving assistance systems, or ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System, for its acronym in English). In fact, there are eight systems that, if you buy a car manufactured after this date, will come with Intelligent Speed Assistance, Fatigue Detector, a Black Box, the pre-installation of a breathalyzer – which will not allow you to start the car in case to test positive -, the Rear Camera with cross traffic alert, Emergency Braking, seat belt alert and Lane Change Alert.

However, Mazda has for years had many of these elements that help improve the driving experience by minimizing the risk of accidents. True to its Mukainada Spirit of constant improvement, Mazda launched the Mazda CX-5 on the market in 2012, which is renewed in 2022. This compact SUV inaugurated a whole new generation of vehicles with KODO design, ultra-efficient SKYACTIV technology and was at the forefront of active safety technologies thanks to the incorporation of i-Activsense, a set of radar sensors that help the driver to identify dangers potential on the road and helped to drastically reduce the risk of an accident .

In this year’s refreshed version, without increasing its cost , it offers high levels of active and passive safety, as expected of any Mazda model. Thus, these intelligent technologies provide a level of assistance perfectly in line with the driving pleasure promised by the Japanese manufacturer: they are designed to reduce fatigue and to provide help when necessary, but never at the expense of taking away driving pleasure.
