Around a year after his death, the memorial service for Prince Philip will take place in London. Numerous royals follow the invitation of Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021 took place in the closest family circle. Due to the corona restrictions, only 30 guests were able to pay their last respects to the husband of Queen Elizabeth II (95) at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. Philip had already decided during his lifetime that there should be no big state funeral. The death of the Duke of Edinburgh on April 9 also hit the royal houses hard, which thanks to the memorial service can now say a fitting farewell to him.

On March 29, a service for Prince Philip will be held in London’s Westminster Abbey, which will not only be attended by members of the British royal family. A look at the palace calendar reveals that King Harald (85) and Queen Sonja (84) of Norway are among the guests. King Felipe (54) and his wife Letizia (49) will arrive from Spain.
