The continuity of the Mexican Grand Prix is assured after the company in charge of its organization in the country, the CIE group , and Formula 1 announced a new three-year agreement that will allow the highest category to compete until at least the 2025 course. at the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome.
The agreement was announced at a press conference by the head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum , in the presence of the CEO of F1, Stefano Domenicali , as well as Alejandro Soberón , leader of CIE, a company with which the Great Circus returned. to the country in the 2015 season.
This new contract will allow maintaining a significant number of races in America, with three appointments in the United States ( Miami, Austin and Las Vegas, which will debut in 2023), as well as those in Canada and Brazil .
“I am delighted to announce that Formula 1 will continue to compete in Mexico City for another three years under this new agreement,” said F1 CEO and President Stefano Domenicali.

The Mexican GP race has become an important economic engine for the country’s capital by generating a millionaire economic spill that has made it the most important sporting event in the country.
F1 claims that the event generated more than 2,443 million dollars of economic activity and created 57,080 jobs between 2015 and 2021.
The event was renamed the Mexico City GP after President Andrés Manuel López Obrador withdrew the financial support from the federal government, and it became only supported by the local government.

This weekend 350,000 fans are expected during the 2022 Mexico City GP, and the first edition under the new contract, in 2023, will be held on the weekend of October 27-29 next year.
