Swimming in the Szczecin Lagoon in summer temperatures? This is possible again after the great fish kill.

Ueckermünde – Residents and tourists can go swimming in the Szczecin Lagoon again without restrictions. All warnings in this context have been lifted, said Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s Environment Minister Till Backhaus (SPD) on Thursday during a press conference in Mühlengeez.

Nothing questionable was found in the analyzed fish or in the water. Details should be announced in the afternoon. The country’s environment and health ministries had warned against swimming in the Szczecin Lagoon after the fish died in Poland, which is why there was criticism from the tourism industry. dpa
