Spielberg.- In a second free practice session ideal for the less usual to shine, the Spaniard wanted to make clear his candidacy for any bike that may still be free with a view to the 2022 grid.

Lecuona took advantage of the last minutes of a training session marked by rain to put the slick tires on his RC16 and, without leaving the dry lane that opened up on the asphalt, sweep the time table.

His record left him with a universe of Johann Zarco , second fastest, who was more than three seconds behind the Valencian. Aleix Espargaró , the third, finished three tenths behind the Frenchman, these being the only ones who dared to ride with slick .

Marc Márquez , fourth, dominated most of the practice in the wet and finally finished fourth, ahead of Jack Miller (fifth) and Alex Márquez, who finished sixth.

Alex Rins finished seventh, while Pol Espargaró (eighth), Fabio Quartararo (ninth) and Brad Binder closed the top ten of a session in which only 12 brave men qualified at the limit of 107% of the best lap.
