After taking part in the “Krach für Kilian” campaign, a 21-year-old from Lower Saxony was killed in a motorcycle accident on the way home.
Göttingen / Westerstede – After taking part in the “Krach für Kilian” campaign last Saturday (July 24th, 2021), a 21-year-old man from Lower Saxony had a fatal accident on the way to Bremerhaven. The young man came from an unexplained cause early on Saturday afternoon in Westerstede north of Oldenburg in a curve from the street and crashed into a wall. Despite numerous first aiders and rapid resuscitation measures, the 21-year-old died of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to reports from his family, the young man from Ottersberg near Bremen took part in the charity campaign “Krach für Kilian”, for which 15,000 motorcyclists came to Rhauderfehn in East Friesland on Saturday. Relatives of a 6-year-old boy who was fatally ill with cancer had wanted to grant the little motorcycle fan one last wish with the campaign.

According to his family’s obituary, this was the last good deed for the 21-year-old motorcyclist “that he did with all his heart and with joy.”
After the family had received numerous donation offers, a donation page has now been set up, through which more than 30,000 euros have been collected in just a few days. However, the money is not intended to benefit the family, but rather will be donated to children with cancer in need, the relatives said in an Instagram post. (ska)
