Magdeburg (AP) – In Magdeburg there was a chase between the police and a motorcyclist. The man was shot in the course of the persecution, the police said. The case is still being processed, according to a police spokeswoman in Magdeburg.
Around midnight, the motorcyclist escaped a police traffic control near Wahlitz (Jerichower Land), the spokeswoman reported. The chase that followed moved to Magdeburg.
When a roadblock was broken, two officers shot the motorcyclist, the police said. He was "obviously" hit because a little later a man with gunshot wounds was found in the Bördekreis. It is assumed that this is the motorcyclist. Where the man is currently and how serious his injuries are, it is not yet possible to say with any certainty.
