From Friday there will be a muezzin call in Cologne. At 1:24 p.m., the Arabic call to prayer can be heard. The muezzin call will then be heard in parts of the city.

Cologne – From Friday, October 14, the call of the muezzin can be heard in Cologne in addition to church bells. It can be heard over loudspeakers at 1:24 p.m. in parts of the city. The Muslim call to prayer is loud up to 96 decibels. This corresponds to the volume of a truck driving on the freeway.
24RHEIN explains when the muezzin call is to be heard and what is being sung.

The call to prayer is in Arabic – also in Cologne. It takes place every Friday, after the Friday sermon and before the Friday prayer. However, the exact time keeps changing. (jw)
