Much has been written and said about climate change, and on many occasions denialist pressure groups have contributed to the proliferation of false claims that persist today, when almost no one denies that climate change is a reality anymore. Many of these lies take advantage of the uncertainty inherent in science: we know that the climate is changing and that it will continue to do so, but models cannot predict all the details of these changes with pinpoint accuracy. In the same way, we know that the last few years have been the hottest since there are records, but every time there is an episode of cold or heavy snowfall, some supposedly expert voice is heard that confuses weather with meteorology and affirms that the lows Temperatures are proof that the Earth is not warming.
Today almost no one denies climate change, but the hoaxes that circulate about it not only have to do with its existence. There are many myths about its causes, about its implications and of course about its solutions. We are talking about a very complex problem about which there is still much to know, but which is already affecting us: its consequences are not part of a distant dystopian future but are already realities. There is also no magic one-size-fits-all solution to stop it, and making excuses or throwing balls out to avoid tackling it doesn't help to manage the problem either.
