A reference in the segment in terms of design, technology and electrification, the DS 3 Crossback becomes the new DS 3. Characterized by a new, more efficient and dynamic front end, a restructured and attractive range, the arrival of new technologies and a new set of electric motor and battery for its 100% electric version, the new DS 3 stands out singularly from the competition .
Its design creates a balance between lines and volumes. The most visible changes are concentrated on the front and give it a new dynamism and a feeling of robustness while preserving all its elegance. Stylistic codes from the rest of the DS Automobiles range have been applied to the new model, which sports a redesigned, larger grille highlighted with diamond-shaped elements in gloss black or chrome finish depending on version. Signature DS WINGS have been tuned to subtly link the grille and headlamps. New LED headlights – standard across the range – feature a more dynamic design and give New DS 3 a deeper look with three distinctive modules highlighted by satin chrome surrounds. DS Matrix LED Vision, with intelligent and automatic management of high beam headlights for maximum comfort and safety, is offered as an option. The new daytime running lights feature two lines of LEDs arranged vertically on either side of the front end to create a distinctive, enlarged signature, consistent with the latest DS Automobiles design codes.
Aesthetically evolved, the new DS 3 also changes technically . The new bumper and grille have been redesigned in order to optimize the vehicle’s aerodynamic performance. The ‘aerofoils’ that frame the lower air intake grille are the best example of this new efficiency. The rear is elegant; the taillights and the tailgate are discreetly highlighted by a black lacquered beading on which the signature ‘DS Automobiles’ appears using an unprecedented technology: the polished stainless steel letters have been individually cut and embedded in the trim.
