Hamburg’s first skyscraper is taking on more and more concrete forms in the planning. Now the bang: Hamburg’s Elbtower will be significantly more expensive than expected.
Hamburg – The Hanseatic city of Hamburg already has a number of sights: including the port, the warehouse district and the Elbphilharmonie. In 2025 another building is to be added: the Hamburg Elbtower. 700 million euros were planned for the construction – according to new calculations, this sum can not be met by far.

Hamburg’s Elbtower will offer 65 floors of office and hotel space. More than 30 percent of the space is said to have already been rented. At around 245 meters, the Elbtower will be the tallest skyscraper in all of Hamburg.
