Oaxaca: Airlines cancel 27 flights due to hurricane "Ágatha"

The International Airport of Mexico City (AICM) reported that due to the hurricane “Agatha” that already made landfall in the state of Oaxaca, various airlines canceled 27 flights to and from Puerto Escondido and Huatulco, Oaxaca, for that recommended users to contact the corresponding company to learn more about it.

Aeroméxico explained that in the face of this hurricane, which has already been downgraded to category one according to the report of the National Weather Service at 7:00 p.m., it will allow flight changes or cancellations at no cost to those passengers with a ticket issued with plate 139 shared code AM issued before May 30, 2022, valid until June 2 of this year and to or from Puerto Escondido, Huatulco and Villahermosa, Oaxaca.

The airline explained that it will allow the change of route without charge and in case there is a difference in the cost of the original ticket to the new one, said difference will be charged at the time of making the change.

In addition, Aeroméxico specified that if the rescheduled trip occurs after the permitted travel period and the change is made within the permitted validity dates, the change fee will not apply, but the fare difference will apply.

“If the passenger decides not to use the service, the ticket is valid for one year from the date of issue”, .

Hurricane “Ágatha” was downgraded to a category 1 hurricane after it made landfall this afternoon in Oaxaca, although the heavy rain alert persists in eight entities of the Republic.
