Forest – When a small airplane crashed in a forest area near the Bavarian community of Wald in the Ostallgäu district, a person was killed on Monday.

Airplane completely destroyed after crash

According to the police, witnesses observed how the single-engine propeller plane of the type “Breezer C” lost significantly in height and finally fell into the forest. Parts of the wreckage got stuck in a tree at a height of a few meters.

Emergency services and the volunteer fire brigade found the aircraft completely destroyed and freed the two occupants from the wreckage. According to a police spokesman, the machine took off from the Kempten-Durach airfield, about 15 kilometers away.
