The Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix is one that the drivers and teams mark in red on the calendar due to the importance and history of the event. Some take advantage of the appointment in the mythical Monza to release new designs and colors, like the locals, Ferrari, who presented a special decoration with the Giallo Modena to commemorate the 75th anniversary since the birth of the brand.

For this reason, their starting duo, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, took to the track with completely yellow helmets that caught the attention of the entire paddock, as did Esteban Ocon’s, who dared to wear a design that paid homage to the pilot with the most victories on the Italian track, Michael Schumacher, who won five times there.

However, they were not the only ones with special decorations, and it is that Sebastian Vettel presented once the weekend had begun a helmet that celebrated the circuit’s century of existence, in addition to remembering his first victory in the highest category of motorsport.

“Celebrating Sebastian Vettel’s first win in Formula 1 and 100 years of racing at Monza,” its designer, Jens Munser , wrote in a post with three photos of the special helmet.

In this piece you can see how the Italian flag replaces the German one that has accompanied the Aston Martin driver so many times, as well as a logo that emphasizes the anniversary of the track. As if this were not enough, on one of the sides they have included a silhouette of the German himself celebrating his first victory with Toro Rosso and the inscription of the date on which he won, September 14, 2008.

His compatriot, Mick Schumacher, also debuted a design, and returned to the usual yellow with the dragon on the back and the Haas logos, while in AlphaTauri, taking advantage of their local grand prix, they wore designs with the colors of Italy in the area higher.

In the case of Valtteri Bottas, he wanted to use this race to present a helmet with the shades of Alfa Romeo and a logo that draws attention because it mixes the past with a car from the beginning of the team with a current one. His helmet could not miss the signature trefoil and the Italian flag surrounding the sides, although his teammate, Guanyu Zhou, dared to do something more risky, including a pizza in his decoration to wish “bon appetit” to all the fans.
